boost question

Default boost question

my 01 bug wrx is boosting crap, boost gauge barely goes up to 6 psi,gauge needle very jumpy. took off pipe to wastegate just too see would it give full boost. no change. is my turbo in trouble?? wastegate seems fine,not seized. any help would be great.

You need to go back to the beginning with problems like this to work out whats happened. Was anything changed on the car or any work done prior or did problem just appear from nowhere? Is turbo making an unusual noise?

Try taking the same hose off,the one that connects turbo to actuator to bcs but take it off from turbo outlet so it's diconnected from bcs aswell as the actuator/wastegate and see if turbo boosts full
