Hi all,

Will a intercooler Y pipe meant for a Newage WRX fit a 97 UK classic? (stock intercooler)

no I don't think it will as the Y pipe on a newage is smaller in overall size. If you have a free one to try give it a shot

Pretty sure I remember my classics intercooler only having one place to connect to,not two like the Y pipe does on new age. Therefore I think you would need new age intercooler aswell. Im guessing the Y pipe was designed for recircing the air back better when coming off boost with less chance of stooling the turbo before dumpvalve releases it. rather than supplying more air to intercooler

They are a different length & shape, been looking at these a lot lately as I want the Prodrive one for my Newage and have found Classic ones but realised they will not fit each other.

A newage y pipe will fit a classic v5-6 intercooler but it won't bolt to the turbo as it's shorter. When fitting a newage intercooler to a classic you have to use the classic Y pipe.
