fitting neutral position switch 03 STI
having a misfire on cylinder 1 with the flashing cel light. checked the plugs this morning all seem to be fine. have ordered some new ones just incase. still the same p0301 shows on the diagnostic scan. looking at other posts and forums it seems to be a faulty neutral position switch. just wondering on the easiest way to fit a new one, or anyone no of a step by step guide anywhere??
iv heard the 6 speed is a bit more difficult than the 5

It is on top the box. But the box doesnt have to be removed. The gearbox crossmember needs unbolting to lower the box and also the top engine stay. This allows the box to get low enough for access with a spanner.
