2.5 dohc na vs 2.5 dohc turbo
friend has a forester 2.5 turbo that the motor is shot he got ahold of a 2.5 na dohc motor the big diff is that this motor doesn't have the oil bosses for the turbo is it possible to swap the valves from this motor in to the head off the turbo so he can hook up the lines, cannot find any info on the 2.5 na motor as to valve sizes to know if they will swap

Its the short motor thats your main problem, pistons are high compression on the n/a engine, & not compatible with the turbo application, blocks will be semi closed on the turbo, open deck on the n/a, the valves are all the same size, material is not between the two, the n/a heads will have the bosses there, but not drilled & tapped.
