Default Classic Lambda sensor change of location

Suspect my lamda sensor might be playing up, its in the headers, 95 wrx, i suspect getting it out might be a bitch, so thought about fitting the new sensor in the bung of my sports cat downpipe, anyhoo, would i need to have my map re-adjusted etc if i change the location ?

cheers
