Default Forester EJ255 hesitation

Hi guys

my 2006 pre facelift 2.5XT is in the garage at the moment with a mate ,

cruising is absolutely fine with no issues, however if you are accelerating at a steady pace and sometimes at full throttle it doesn't seem to want to pick up

The turbo was changed about 1000 miles ago (including wastegate actuator etc) and the hesitation was present before the new turbo

there are no codes and the MAF seems to be reading fine. no missfires and I am getting 30 MPG.

I am changing the plugs tomorrow incase the gaps are out.

anything else anybody has experienced??

My forester 2.5xt used to do this, if you reset the ecu it would be fine for a while but it would then slowly 'learn' the problem back.

had a similar problem. 2-3k revs at constant throttle, the car was hesitating/surging.
Unplugged lambda sensor, problem disapeared installed new sensor, problem solved.
