Default Aligning timing marks.

Did a quick search and couldn't find the info that I need.

I'm in the process of replacing the water pump and I need to set up the timing marks to take the belt off. If I remember correctly, I should only rotate the crank CLOCKWISE to get the timing correct, and never anticlockwise.
Can someone please verify this?

Thanks!

Thanks. I was 90% sure, but there's always that little doubt!
