Question

Any tips for getting the clip off thats holding on my OE dump valve (MY01)

It's seems to me like you're supposed to push the two raised bits together and it would loosen but no such luck

Cheers...

Pliers makes th job much easier - in the past I have squeezed the things together with pliers, then put one of those plasticy things for holding cables together (or plants I think) - the ratchety jobs? Err... can't think of what they are called... anyway, a biggish one of those & tightening it. Then you can release the pliers & just slide the thing back towards the middle of the hose. Give the hose a yank (there's a lip on the metal deely it's attached to & the hose distorts over time to have an indent which holds onto the lip - to a point - despite the clip not being there any more). Then, when you come round to attaching the hose (or new one) again, just slide the clip with the holder thing on it where you want it & minding fingers, cut the plastic holder thing & the clip starts clipping again. Then re-adjust using the pliers.

Thumbs up

Cheers for that Nom

I got it off with pliers. At least it does what it's supposed to and hoses don't blow off!
