Hello, I have a 2002 sti ppp. Basically it doesn't like starting from cold... It doesn't start 'cleanly' more splutters into life. No other running faults are apparent.

No fault codes came up when I put the ecu reader on it...

Regularly serviced etc.

Any ideas peeps?

Does it sound like its running on 3 cylinders for a second or 2?

 

Yes

 

Mine does that as well, its done it for about 2 years. It doesnt do it every cold start, maybe 50% of the time. I always put it down to a sticky injector or the duty cycles as mentioned above.
I wouldnt worry about it too much unless it gets worse mate.
