thing is mate he wants 400bhp and a vf 48 will be the best one to get that power from the vf range,he didnt say what he wanted it to boost like etc, people get to hung up over numbers these days.

maybe a vf34 would be a better turbo spool

This, it might drive like a dog, but he can be "the man" down the local bragging to all his mates about having 400hp.

I would go billet sc40 or similar as it is specially designed for what he wants, rather than an VF series one which isnt ideal

Im not quite sure what is easy about a gt35r...?

SC40, or MD series etc etc would be an easier option

Yes I know what your saying shreksta, but I'm not to sure what car he wants the turbo for,if it is for a classic like his avartar would suggest with no AVCS heads and a 2 litre with a VF48 would be laggy for a road car,it might make around the numbers but I would think the drivability of his car would be a drag until the turbo kicked in.SJ.

Thanks guys...thanks SJ
running 2.0 so gt35 is outta the question TT ...I had thoughts about running rotated but times against me as I want to run in the SLS next year and pretty much 400 will see me through a see season at knockhill hence for quickness I was looking for a direct fit ....might have a deal on a sc40 coming up
