Default Milltek or Hayward and Scott

Hi, I just need some advice if possible please guys. I'm looking to buy a full exhaust system with sports cat and pretty much certain about purchasing the Milltek system due to their sound and reputation (being used on the Type 25).

I've never heard a Hayward and Scott system before and was wondering your opinions / reviews on either of these setups in terms of noise, power gains, build quality etc.

Thanks in advance!

I've had both on my Spec C and the Milltek wins hands down in my opinion.
Better build quality, better fitment and much better sound.

Hi p1junkie, thanks for replying to thread. I've heard a few milltek plus nur spec systems I like them both. I currently just have a prodrive back box which, is quiet but the rest of the system I have is completely standard; I'm looking for a good system to help my car breath! The type 25 impreza produces over 400bhp with the milltek system

The nur spec you had probably roared like some I have heard which is cool too

Thanks again.

Nothing wrong with Hayward & Scott but the Miltek exhaust is of such a good quality,The Nur spec exhaust is far to loud for me or my neighbours

Hi Richie001, Thanks for your reply. Hayward & Scott are very good from what I hear however, unfortunately I've not heard one. I will be going with a turbo back Miltek system hopefully this week.

Everyones input has been really helpful so far and I hope it gives other people some ideas too! Cheers

Here'smy 2 pence worth ( even though its biased)

I have a full 3" turbo back decat exhaust from H&S ( for use on private land of course)

It's a well made system, and not to loud or ear piercing, Pops and bangs on over-run

Will upload a vid shortly

I had a Milltek in my FSTi, too boomy for my liking and they crack around the catalyst (it was not only mine which did that).

I replaced it with a Prodrive sports cat/second decat, H&S centre section and Genome now.

The sound is great.

Thanks for your replies guys, I'm glad I got some answers from users of H & S parts too I don't think your 2 pence is biased I think it's good first hand experience. How loud is the H & S in comparison to a Milltek setup please? Thanks
