Blob sti widetrack standard BHP???
I've just had my MY55 blob widetrack on the rolling road yesterday and was pleasantly surprised to find it was running 307BHP the only thing on my car performance wise is a panel filter and miltek backbox (my car is steve360's old one). It's still got the original down pipe and both cats fitted too. Is this normal for the blob wide tracks? I did here a tale that the last batch made had the power upped from the factory is this true or has it been mapped?
Any help is much appreciated
Cheers

It's deffo not a PPP, I'm going to try and track down the original owner and see if they had mapped, all the paperwork that I've got with it now (a lot!) and there's nothing about a remap which if it's had one is strange because I'd have though it would be a plus point when advertising it?? A think al try subaru too and see if they can shed some light

I wouldn't look too much into why the previous owner didn't tell you. My car had a load of mods that the previous owner didn't even know about!
I'd be more surprised to find a 2005 Impreza now that hasn't been mapped to be honest.

It will be a ppp'd car.
One of the offers on the my05 cars was 3 years free servicing or the ppp fitted, most took the ppp.
On a filter and back box it won't gain 45bhp, same map as earlier versions.

The mid pipe will be a baffled section but looks like a cat, but as ive said, 45bhp on a filter and backbox.... not happening (thats like .2 bar increase) so its either fettled or its a PPP (which is most likely )
Dont worry about the paper work, stickers come off and certificates can be lost or not issued, Subaru should be able to say if the car has had a PPP or a mapper can tell you if the car has a standard map or not.

Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining, far from it, I'm over the moon I just think it a bit mysterious
What I understand about the sti exhaust is that there's the backbox then the rear pipe with resonator, then the mid pipe with cat then the down pipe with cat. This is what i found when I was goin to get a sports cat, the PPP ones are 2 piece (down and mid) where as most Aftermarket ones where 1 piece.
