Default Low compression and forged pistons

Hi all

Had a problem with oil in the turbo so thought oil seals had gone. Bought new turbo all ok.
Now noticing blue smoke from breathers smelly petrol fumes and oil leak so did compression test and no4 piston only 80psi.
So suspect hole in piston and pressurised sump causing oil leak. Not had any knock though.

Engine is stock CDB MY94 WRX RA
Running TD05-16g with Link ecu, 1.25bar, 550 injectors, walbro pump etc
If a piston has gone I'm gonna just put in forged pistons and be done with it.
Are Wiseco ok? Noisey? And is it worth changing rods too?
Seen Wiseco pistons and Eagle rods on eBay for $800. Or just Wiseco pistons from Lateral for £630.

I'm not gonna run silly power but about 350bhp as I don't wanna change gearbox just yet.

Any thoughts?

Thanks
Scott

I used Mahle pistons & not noisey at all. You can buy parts from Real Street Performance, or just buy a used Newage STi short motor.

Thanks will check out RealStreet.

Not sure about getting another short motor matching heads etc.

Is it worth getting rods at the same time?
