The previous owner of my wrx has had a sports cat welded in to pass the MoT...it's running rich now as the map was done with a decat down pipe. So I'm looking to replace that with a decat pipe but I'm unsure of the size for the replacement pipe. I have seen that there seems to be either 2.5" or 3" systems, I have measured the outside circumference and its 235mm which make the outer diameter to be just under 3", I haven't taken the system apart to measure the inside yet....I was hoping it was obvious from the outside?

Anybody help on if its the inside or outside?

He just got the garage to weld it in, he isnt that much help really as he wasn't an enthusiast. He bought it with all the mods and didn't do anything else but drive it....
