I have a set of 3dials in the map tray thingy - how do I remove it without braking it?

with bloody great difficulty!

it's easier to snap the little sod off - believe me!. An hour later i was still cursing it!

when you pop it open, the hinges have screws on them, holding the top plate onto them.

What you need is the worlds smallest phillips screwdriver, and to also be the world strongest man cos they are seriously held on there.!

Whip them all out (four of them in memnory) and hey presto!

Hey, it's not that difficult. Like the man said, undo the screws that hold on the lid, undo the two screws in the side which hold it in place then just give it a good firm tug......

christians car has no lid, it came with a gauge pod already in place.

he wants to know how to remove the gauge pod which is already there.

It has lamco gauges in it, but apart from that he has not been able to ascertain which make it is so that we might have a clue.

What did subaru fit as standard?

are they held down with silicon?

Adam,

Ah - if it's the Subaru pod then I think he's in trouble because to fit it, I'm fairly certain you have to cut the dash, making it a non-reversable fit.

Having said that, if he's lucky, he will be able to take if off and put another pod on which will hold gauges of a decent size....
