Question crankshaft position sensor

Second problem! I have a new oil pump to fit, but the crankshaft position sensor is stuck in the old one. Having looked at the price of replacements, I NEED TO GET IT OUT Any ideas?

Something you should be able to sort.

Remove your old pump & then go about getting the sensor out. Be carefull as you know so you dont knacker it but with lube & gentle pursuasion you should do it.

All the best.

Have been squirting it with WD40 and trying to ease it out for 2 days. Plastic top with socket in is now "a bit loose" from seized metal barrel. Levering from underneath could distort the barrel, making things even worse!

Cut through the mounting boss on the oil pump with a junior hacksaw to release the crank sensor without any damage.
