Default head scratching......self emptying sump

just wondering if putting the crank case vents through a catchment tank will stop the oil pressuring out past the O rings on the dipstick tube,
iv'e had one engine pop because the oil splurged out past the dipstick and over the headlight, this one has 60k on it and seems to pressure the crankcases, but lets the oil drip onto the exhaust from the lower dipstick tube.......and up the rear of the car, and when its turned off will smoke through burning oil on the zorst ....anyone any idea's

sounds like you have some piston issues allowing blow by, id do a compression test on it

compression is good all round and varies between 1-3 psi and around 180 warm and 165 cold

Take the oil filler cap off when the engine is running to see if it releases pressure. If it does, you could have a problem with the breather system.
