Unhappy quick idle question

Guys
is there anything other than the coolant temp sensor would make my car idle at a constant 1200 from cold start and not drop untill its hot then it cuts out

Yeah been mapped on esl live. ....perfect idle right up to 80ish degrees then dies

MAFless operation on ESL requires the MAP sensor and intake air temp sensors to work. I'd check both of those for starters, especially as the intake air temp sensor will be an aftermarket one.

Cheers dont think I run a iat sensor ...was told not required

I think it is required for MAFless load calculation, I'll read the ESL manual and let u know

I think your right, there's nothing to say its actually required but it can be used. Maybe it can be controlled better with IAT.

I'd like to run MAFless too, I've just got my ESL kit yesterday.

There's a map in the ECU to control injector switch on at certain engine temperatures, for example at 70 degrees the injectors switch back on at 1500 rpm to prevent stalling. Is your coolant sensor ok?
