Default Front Axle Stand Points

Hello,

After recommendation I've just signed up and it is with regret that it is because 1. I need help and 2. because its a basic question.

I want to make sure im ok to leave the car on axle stands this way... (image)

Reason being I want the chassis rails clear to sand, treat and coat.

What do you reckon?

I've searched across forums before, but whilst there are search results all the pictures have been removed and describing a mounting point, c beam, uprights etc.. means nothing to me :-S

Thanks for any assistance.

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

Firstly... Welcome aboard sir!

Yup, where you have placed the axle stand is fine. It is very close to the rear mounting point of the lower wishbone so won't stress or bend the wishbone as it bears the weight of the engine and front end of the car.
