I'm no expert but have recently been researching which turbo to get myself... as far as I am aware a 20G should be sufficient for 400? Maybe do some other bits like headers, injectors & FMIC instead?

cheers for that i like the current turbo because of the early spool up and lack of lag but didnt want to push it to its max and increase its chance of failing have thought about front mount i must admit

Wow I'm surprised you have early spool up? I have always been told the 20G's are quite laggy?
The FMIC vs TMIC debate is always ongoing and some will say you need one some will say you dont... I personally don't claimt o know the science behind it all. I THINK 20G's are good for 420bhp so I dont think you would be maxing it out

Are you 100% sure you have a 20g as early spool and 330bhp sounds very 16g to me!!

Hi Kev its a Billet 18g on there from APi which I believe is a Scooby clinic sc38. I looked into it and best way would be headers and bigger injectors or if you want to get to 400 I would just go straight to a SC42 billet and sell the sc38 but you will still require the headers and injectors so all comes down to money.

Nope, 380 is a good one on an STI a billet one will do better, but the traditional 'old ' one is 380.........

And they are not laggy [ unless knackered ] The 06/20g would be on a 2.0.
