Default my97 impreza T2000 overboosting

Hi all,

I had the engine out recently to change the clutch and since then its overboosting to 25psi, can anyone inform me of the boost solenoid pipes layout or what else could be causing it as it hits 25psi and stalls and backfires then seems powerless, as much help as possible would be very helpful to solve this

cheers

I'd say there's a vacuum pipe off between the turbo and the boost solenoid or that general area. Your turbo is boosting as hard as it can at the pressure. Just like having a manual bleed valve fully open. Don't drive it until you get it sorted or I'd say you'll be putting another engine in!

Very odd! Have you checked the actuator is working properly? Maybe its stuck and only works (a bit) when its hot?
