Default Japspeed Headers

Morning All,

Just wondering wether these are the right way for me to go? I'm aiming for 380bhp ish and have been advised that headers are a good way to help with spool up?

I'm not overly keen to lose the subaru burble but for the right power/spool gains I would...

Any help appreciated

They are un-equal so you wont lose the scooby sound :-)

How much you will gain or lose in spool/power will depend on your set up. I havent gone down the headers route so cant say what to expect. But, i'm sure someone who has been there, done that, got the t-shirt will be along in a mo to share their experience and set up details.

I have a set of Harvey ported OEM headers and decat up-pipe on my car and if you ask me, they make a difference in spool, driveability, response etc. Some will say they're not worth the money for the gain you get but each to there own. I enjoy it and should compliment all the other bits you decide to upgrade

nice one, The japspeed ones arent too expensive so I don't mind giving them a go, certainly dont want to lose power though!

For the power level you're aiming for, it's not necessary to go to tubular headers. Properly ported std headers combined with 'Harvey' up-pipe from ASPerformance will, along with appropriate turbo, injectors, map etc, give good results.
There's a chance that the tubular headers could loose you some spool but a good mapper can minimise this. If you intend 400+ then these headers start to make sense. Whatever you do, they need wrapping!

ASperformance's website http://asperformance.com/contact/

I have some std headers you can send off for porting if you want to minimise the time yours is off the road. PM me if you're interested. Your not that far from me too!
