Hawkeye Fuel Filter - changed yours?
unlike classics, bugs & blobs - i found the hawkeye has its fuel filter in tank, and is supposedly a 60k service interval item. was getting the pump changed on mine for a SWRD item so thought id get the fuel filter done at same time
here is a pic of old (72k on it) & new!!

the fuel filter aint cheap at all (£80 odd from a dealers, i luckily found one on ebay for £20 delivered) as you cannot buy a filter cartridge but must buy the unit complete - even though you can strip them down as seen in the pic
there are 2 types of intank filter, they have different plastic heads on them but can be split in case you manage to get the wrong one (like me), and cartridges swapped over.
didnt think itd be that dirty, just goes to show the bag strainer on pump isnt that effective
