Default help needed! urgent!!

my 2001 wrx wagon just failed the mot,theres a part underneath which looks like its part of the subframe? it seams to go round both sides,i really don't know what this part is called and I really need to get one sourced asap its held in by a few bolts,i can get a pic if needed but im hoping some of you technically minded people can help me

Take it off m8 not needed also its not structural so he shouldn't of failed it unless its hanging off because they don't know Subaru they think its structural.
Think they added it for extra safety when released gimmick really am sure some one here will correct me lol

theres a big hole in it one side and its getting big the other side,so if I remove it and take it back to the same garage it will pass?

Please do check that your insurer is happy with it being removed. I believe it's there to help stop the engine moving into the driving compartment in a frontal accident and its removal might be classed as a modification by them.

Sadly, it's a classic New Age rot spot though.

it will only be a temporary thing to get it through mot,it will be replaced when I can source a decent one.
