If it is a single knock each time then it coukd be a bearing/diff that is worn. Had the same on my old STI. Solved when I fitted a replacement gearbox.

Check your front brake pads are in place in the caliper with the clips

Had exactly the same problem was a arb drop link

i had a noise just as pulling away ,and a slight knock on hard gear changes , turned out to be a worn engine mount

Yep it sure is, where is the best place to get them?

As see there is all different sizes on eBay as think ill put poly bushes in next
