Default Drive shaft compatability?

Rightguys, a quick question,

I'm in the process of swapping my gearbox and diff out of my v2 sti type ra, the gearbox is a 752 with a plated R160 3.9 rear diff and in its place im going to put in a v4 type r 754 box and R160 lsd 4.444 rear diff.

The question I've got is that will the drive shafts for the rear diff be the same? Or is the retaining clip slightly different as I've heard the plated v2 diff has slightly different positioning of the retaining clip.

Thanks Tim.

If your putting in a v4 type R box think your running into problems with your diff it should be 4.444 iirc.

Your not so bad then but I can't answer your original question. I know the rear drives on a type R are heavier cause off the DCCD so I imagine you will need the drives and hubs. IIRC all the type r boxes mate up with an R180 diff.

As far as im aware I can mate the type R gearbox with a R160 rear diff so long as its a 4.444. My car is a v2 sti type ra which runs R160 shafts hubs etc
Thanks for the response m8.
