Max power ej207 block
Hi!
I'm going to change rods and pistons in my scooby. But i'm confused about the maxpower of the block in my UK 03 STi.. I have heard 450-500 hp will be max if I want to be safe..
Thank you!
Regards

Hi there
Hard to say
I would add ARP/Cosworth 260k psi headstuds as minimum with the Cosworth Headgasket
EJ207 block should be OK for 550bhp,above that 14mm headstuds probably will be better option, but this depends on the how much boost you will be running and what turbo you will be running

So 450-500bhp with 14mm headstuds will be safe ?

We run 11mm ARP headstuds at 490bhp on 2.1L Open Deck Block(WRX block),engine has been build for 500-550bhp
You should be OK with 11mm ARP headstuds at 450-500bhp,but this depends on the what turbo and what boost you will be running
11mm Cosworth 260k psi headstuds have good reviews and people has run them around 550-600bhp without the issue

I still think you should be OK with the 11mm Cosworth 260k psi headstuds or 11mm ARP headstuds on this spec
Have look at 12/14mm RCM headstuds
