Default bugeye headgasket replacement are mains and big ends essential?

as the title really

i still find it hard to believe how a car with a headgasket failure can lead to bottom end bearing failure shortly after the head gaskets are repaired?

is it essential for me to do the mains and big ends when repairing the head gaskets and why?

iv started the car with no water in just to see if there is any knocking etc and it sounds absolutley sweet

i have done it before though replaced headgaskets on what i thought was a good engine done 50 odd miles and the bottom end has let go albeit i was driving quite hard...i just dont understand why it happens?!

someone enlighten me haha and let me know if its essential to do the bearings or just try the headgaskets

Must of been slightly knocking before m8 and the boil over not helped unless whoever did the job didn't put any or not enough oil on start up.
Also depending where it was blown could of contaminated the oil as we all no water oil dont mix you did change the oils did ya

when the water mixes with the oil it washes out the big end bearings and soon after a rebuild they fail.

speak to an engine builder for advice as you don't want to rebuild it twice
