Hey I bought a type r an the side indicators in the wings have been flushed off an the original door mirrors have been replaced with some aftermarket tiny mirrors with indicators that I don't like I prefer the originals which I have a spare set I can use, the problem I have is when I put the originals on I have no indicators so anyone know of a nice set of mirrors with indicators in them or some tiny LED's I can hide in the tip of the mirrors so it's road legal

You'll be fine without them. MOT only states they have to work if present, not that they have to be there.

Not true, they have to be visible from the side.

I checked this out, both of you are right if there not there they can't fail but do have to be seen from the side, can get away with it if the front bumper indicators only if there seen from the side but I doubt it'll work in my case v5 bumper.

Agreed, if you had wrap around indicators it would be fine.
