Default Sump plug problem

I have had a leak from the sump plug for ages. I have just changed the plug and its still leaking out slowly. Is my only option to fit a new sump or is there any other choices? I have used ptfe tape and tried different washers.

What torque you tightening them at? Is the washer genuine item?

What is the torque setting? It is tight but never wanted to over tighten it incase I stripped the threads. I have tried three different washers. Don't think they were genuine.

44 Nm. If that doesn't work is it a new sump?

I go with 35 ft.lb and have no issues, have you a magnetic type or standard?

No never checked the threads. I will try tightening it and if that fails will change to a magnetic sump plug. Thanks.
