Default Fitting oil cooler

Hi

I am in the process of fittng this oil cooler kit (http://www.advancedautomotives.com/s...kit-1844-p.asp).

My problem is where do I mount the actual oil cooler and how do I get the hoses to it?

The oil cooler is large and will fit inbetween the from cross member and the rad but only about 50% of it will be visible from the front so is this a good place?

I have thought about alternative places but the only real one is the drivers side front wing as I have removed the intake resonator thing.

Any ideas?

Also, does it matter if it is mounted with the pipes on the side or the top?

Here is what the car looks like at the moment:

Not sure if this of any help, But the mishimoto guide is going to be quite helpful for you in your installation

My factory one sits at the bottom of the front slam panel with the pipes routed underneath the car...Keep them away from the exhaust manifold though.

Your top pic is exactly where I have mine, inner wing is considered vert good with a feed from the fog cover and a vent in the bumper or splash guard to let the air out.

I can't fit into the wing as its full of FMIC pipe work!

Thanks a lot for your photo.

I watched the Mishimoto video and it helped but I am still concerned about only 2/3rds of it being exposed.

I am tempted to get a 13 row oil cooler and mount it upside down (i.e. so that the pipes are on the bottom) so that most of it is exposed to the air-flow. Is this any good or would the 25 row be better as although part is covered, it is still better than a smaller one?

Api fitted mine there (although at the drivers side) and I think it's 15 row too.

I've found fitting them any way other than pipes coming out the top means oil drains back to the sump, giving you false oil level readings when cold...... Which isn't ideal!
