Default 2.5"-3"??????

So I've just got myself an absolute bargain price miltek cat back 3" system which I intend to polish up and fit. My car at present has a full 2.5 turbo back system fitted (doesn't seem to be branded) with a sports cat, but the privious owner obviously wanted to keep things a bit quiet because it basically sounds quieter than standard.

I basically would rather not have to buy a 3"decat yet and pay for a remap as ill be upgrading the turbo later in the year and planned to do this then. So I'd just like to know will I be able to fit my 3" system to a 2.5" downpipe? Obviously with new gaskets etc etc. or will it not line up and leak?

Thanks Tom

from what i gathered the miltek systems use a special size so their own parts will only fit other miltek parts i think

As above, I don't think you'll simply be able to mate them up from what I've heard. As they use something different to avoid people mixing them with parts from other systems.

My mate had a milltek front pipe mated to a blitz nur spec ? The biggest problem you face is the 3inch flange on the milltek mating to the 2.5 inch flange on the existing front pipe u have pretty much no choice but to fit a 3" fp unless you weld the **** out of it
