Default 96 wrx decat

Hi Guys

Been out of the scene for some time but just bought a 96 wrx wagon and wondered if this can be decatted without the need for a remap?? my version 1 sti wagon was decatted without, but i fear the later wrx has a lambda sensor in the downpipe which may scupper my plans.

Any help appreciated

cheers

A lot of people run a decat without remapping, but in my experience (decat in a MY95 WRX) is that the boost profile goes haywire unless you have supporting mods.

needs a remap or you may get overboost.

some people say "I did it blah blah blah" mostly on Subaru swap shop...

but it needs at least checking to see if its running correctly.
