Default Hawkeye sti modding

Hey folks just a few questions I know that these engines aren't as strong as the 2.0 but I'm wondering if I can fit an sc46 and keep the boost down so it will only run say 380

And that way I already have the turbo come build time?

Thanks

Steve

380 is to much on standard pistons and head bolts imo. Some cars have run more without issue but the common consensus is to keep it below 360 on stock internals. Mine let go at 359bhp, i had broken ringlands on #2 and #4 pistons. If you have forged piston's and quality head studs / gaskets 450bhp should be fine and durable.

im with chopperman on this i had major ringland failure on piston No.4, ive recently forged mines and remapping next week with my SC46, turbo spools great at 340lf/ft 380hp, but id recommend forging if your not after 420+ be better with SC42 as its slightly spoolier
