Default Engine Oil recommendations please.

Can anyone suggest a decent sensibly priced engine oil for a second road car mildly tuned to 350HP which mainly gets track use with occasional Sunday blasts. Millers 10 40 has previously been used is this still the popular choice?

Hi

Thanks for that, I'd say a good 10w-40 is the best option.

The best ones are the Gulf Competition, Motul 300V, Redline and Millers CFS.

Cheers

Yes, but only when hot. The SAE50 is slightly thicker then SAE40 at 100degc.

Depends, what year is your impreza? Is it modified? And what kind of use does it get.

Cheers

2003 WRX 108.000 on the clock. FSH
VF34 Turbo

When Mapped will be around 330-350bhp with supporting Mods. Fast Road car with one or two track days a year!

I would probably go for a top quality 5w-40 rather than anything thicker, I can't see the oil getting massively hot. Something like Fuchs Pro S, Millers CFS, Gulf Competition, Motul 300V or Red Line would be ideal.
