Default Notchy Steering

Not been out in the car for the last 3 days, Jumped in it this morning & when im turning the steering feels a little "notchy"

It seems go be normal & then slightly heavier then normal again when going around a corner.

I checked the front wheel nuts were tight & tyres look to be pumped up like normal.

Also if I slacken my grip on the wheel wen exiting a corner the steering wheel doesn't seem to "Self Correct" to straight any more.

Any ideas?

look at the small shaft & joint from the bulkhead to the rack, they seize with heat passed from the exhaust over time

Just thought I would report back about this, just after I posted the question I rang Brian @ cams, he told me to check the steering knuckle first,
I got the car on a ramp at jakes place & soaked the knuckle in wd40 a few times,
After that I put copper grease on it & took it off the ramp,
What a difference it has made! Steering feels better than it did when I first bought the car.
