Default Boost problem again

Right peps losing my rag
Right I have a 99v5/6 turbo 2000
When brought car had a cheap nasty manual boost controller plumbed into boost system as well as factory boost solenoid
I plumbed all back to factory and when hitting boost goes to 1.5 then 0.9 it feels like turbo coming in and out even tho foot down
Basically fluctuating
Have fitted another 2 port solenoid and factory pipping with pill in and still the same
So to
Keep it ok had to put manual boost controller back on
But don't want it on car want it bk to factory
Please anyone help

For a start your car should never hit 1.5 bar as the fuel cut will happen a lot earlier.
Not much help but you need to take it to a good Subaru specialist so they can actually test it as I would guess that something else has possibly been done to the car and the MBC may have been fitted to cover whatever is going on.

Boost spikes? is the car standard? mods such as decat down pipe etc can cause overboost issues.

Ive just removed a k&n induction kit from my my99 2000 which has transformed the power delivery no end... do a search

If it was mapped I see no reason to have a MBC on it.

Might be over boosting. Check all you hoses and vac pipes especially the one that goes to the waste-gate actuator.

Check the map sensor or try a different one. Make sure someone hasn't put a modification to the wiring to the map sensor to fool the ecu. Check also the wiring to the ecu under the metal plate under passenger carpet hasn't been played with also.

Also further to the above. Try disconnecting the battery for a few hours to reset the keep alive memory.

what mods are on the car?

might be worth getting it checked over and mapped for mods if any fitted.

you mention bar and psi in your boost measurements.. is it 15psi or 1.5bar?

Unusual to get that high a boost spike with those mods but it needs mapping really for them if it hasnt already been.

Being a 99 might also be worth replacing the maf sensor as they are very fragile especially with air filter changes

Doing exactly the same as my old turbo 2000 did when I got it.

I took it to Powerstation and fitted a new maf a new O2 sensor and mapped it and that fixed it.

It also needed a new clutch, weather this added to it as it was slipping I do not know

How much is mapping on my Scooby I have it booked in with cmc developments
Checked ecu and some wires have been messed with think it had gauges fitted
Connected standard pipes up again took it out
And put foot down comes on boost and bang straight round to 1.5 bar and then to 0.9 and keeps flicking between and foot on deck

And I put standard pipe work back on where it fits to actuator and turbo
Do you Wreckon if pipe bigger it will cause boost fault

What size restrictor pill have you got in there? You want a 1.2mm. If you go smaller than that then that could be your problem.

Yeah with a 1.2mm drill bit. It may be hard to get that size. Maybe a carburetor jet drill bit is available that size.

Edit- you can buy 1.2mm drill bits from eBay easy enough
