Default 2006 2.5 Hawkeye WRX Mod help please

Ive just got my hands on a 2006 2.5 WRX hawkeye and am wanting to do some mods. Question is can anybody recommend the best parts and where to buy them?

Parts list below

Sportscat exhaust system,

255 l/hr uprated fuel pump

I am going to fit a Cosworth Panel filter and would welcome opinions on peoples view of it. Will then have an Ecutek remap.

Help please

Just decat it and fit a vf35/43 and u will see 330-350bhp and same again in torque ,makes a superb daily driver,
Mines drove at 350/350 for almost 3yrs, then i added other items and went fully forged etc.

In terms of panel filters I've read a few people recommending green/k&n over cosworth, that could be down to personal preference on their part though (I use an HKS filter and that does the job just fine).

As for the ecutek map, have you thought about using open source mapping instead? iirc it's cheaper than ecutek mapping once you factor in the license key and so on.

How do you get on with MOT then though?

what exhaust would you recommend?
Im new to all the modding scene so where is the best place and which model turbo would you go for?

I would go for a Roger Clark Motorsport fuel pump also, best there is. My standard pump failed recently and I have since had one of these fitted. £150 for the pump.

I have a full Milltek exhaust, cracking sound not too loud - not cheap though, was fitted before I bought the car ('56 WRX Wagon).

Sports cat downpipe, so still passes MOT so long as it's nice and hot.

You can swap turbo, however mine is on standard turbo and after a remap running 285bhp/342lbft. Plenty quick enough and turbo spools nice and early.

Thanks very much for the advice, time to get saving I think.

Lol, if you're modifying a hawkeye WRX TT's comment on headgaskets is way truer than you think.

If your after a remap in the north wales area, look up group B motorsport in Queensferry. The guys in there know their stuff!

Tbf... He may not be the most subtle with his speech, but I make him right. Regardless of whether the 2.5 is modded or not its more than likely on borrowed time.

Speaking from experience I started with a cat back, cosworth filter, then head gasket, and now forging due to ring land failure.
