Hi all I'm in need of some help
Hi the last two days been having some battery problems with my 2003 wrx after visiting a few people after coming out and starting the car it was struggling to turn over then today in its favorite drinking hole tesco petrol station it just died on me not enough power in battery to turn over luckily a few of my mates turned up and gave me a push and it bump started straight away drove home which is about 10 mins away turned off and battery was completely dead no power to turn over is this the alternator or something more sinister cheers for any help

If it a battery than you can top up it will have about 6 cells each with a small cap that can be screwed out,you can top up each cell with disstilled water just enough to cover the plate inside or if you see any bubbles in the cell then that cell is f##ked and you need a new battery.Or if you use a battery charger and it doesn't hold the amps then its f##ked also

Or go to Halfrauds, they can test your battery for you. Might be difficult without a car though, understandably.

Ah I'll check that in the morning...... the battery light lights up on dash when ignition switched on so don't think it's problem with power to alternator ill check battery first tho cheers for the tip

Yeah the car. Starts fine off a bump start so ill take it to them to check no where i stand then

Any idea how old the battery is? they don't last forever, and if it has even one cell not working properly, you will be screwed.

As above, get it tested.

If it's NOT the battery, get the alternator tested at a RELIABLE auto electrics place.
