Was wondering if anyone could help. My Type R has started knocking from the rear very loud. Only happens when turning or going around bends. The whole rear end jumps and bangs hard!

The diff is always on open mode, never on full lock. If i go round a bend or take a turn in neutral its fine, only when in gear. Straight line is perfect.

Any ideas? Rear diff shot?

Are you sure it's not the struts? They are a common failure.

Is there anyway to check mate? The fact that it only happens when in gear makes me think it may be transmission related. I hope its suspension related.

sounds like rear diff, could be mountings, does it make a difference when you change the dccd setting

I haven't tried adjusting the DCCD, I could try it today, what would I be looking out for? The rear diff already has hard race Cusco bushes.
