Default map sensor difference????????????

Yes another technical question from me lol.

Does anyone know if theres any visual difference between a 1996 sti map sensor and an my97-00 map sensor, i need to know as i bought one from a member on here to fit to my car before a remap next week coz on Andy F's website it says you need to change the map sensor to run higher boost.

Ive had a look at the one on mine and its pretty much looks the same as the one i bought. Im thinking the one already on the car is the one i needed lol maybe.

The version 2 1996 map sensors have a lead coming off with 3 wires in a triangle shaped plug - fit for the bin. The 1997 v3 and onwards the plug was on the map sensor itself with 3 connections in a row.

Thats good new then coz the one on my car has the 3 wires in a row connection which is a bonus, means i can run more boost when it comes to remap time
