Default how much is a semi-closed deck block worth?

im after a scdb that needs a rebuild as im planning a 2.1 stroker,i have been to pr developments who advise me to get a scdb that has done reasonable miles but needs a rebuild so im wondering what one is worth? i know the closed deck blocks go for around £300-£400 needing a rebuild but they also require a rear thrust mod and possible new oil squirters so to keep cost down a scdb will be fine

cheers

the amount of money that will cost is so much you would be far better just buying a newage sti as these will run at that power without all the cost and hassle.

good luck then its gonna be expensive lol

its a nice car but id really ask yourself if its worth chucking all that money at it to get 450 bhp which you could achieve far cheaper buy selling the car and buying an sti.

nothing wrong at all with the wrx but to me its not a base for a big bhp car unless you have very deep pockets.

I have an engine I have removed from a 95 wrx import with a suspected cracked piston if your interested.
I am also trying to achieve around 400 with my new build and it's proving to be expensive :-)

I have a WR1 SCDB needing a rebore that may be for sale ?

Done about 40k miles, piston damage has made removal necessary.
