TURNING ALARM OFF (TEMPORARILY)
As you may have seen, I need to repair my headlight, and ballast unit. As it's the passenger side, I need to remove the battery. I did this last night, and had to listen to the alarm siren going off. How do I disable my alarm whilst I work on the light? Can I pop a fuse out or something that simple?

I removed the battery when the car was unlocked. I took off the negative terminal first.
I may be wrong, but I think it's dangerous to have the positive connected while the negative is disconnected. I thought there may be a fuse or overide button I can use whilst working on the car.............

there is a keypad in in the slot down by the right handside of the steering wheel in the fuse box thingy.

If you disconnect the main battery the siren will only sound for about 30second then time-out and shut up.
It will sound again when you reconnect the battery...just press the unlock button on remote fob to shut it up.

Typically the alarm unit itself is only powered off the vehicle battery.. Its just the siren that has its own battery.
Worst case just remove the siren, and cover the open end with a rag.
