so my mates BLOB sti cel light has come on a couple of times and I have read it with my reader and comes up
OBD Error Code Details for P0328 powertrain, after a bit of reading though can this be the knocklink sensor that's fecked

Your friend this happens only on lower RON fuel or it happens on V-Power/T99?
But as you are said its Knock sensor,try replace Knock sensor maybe your friend knock sensor is buggered
