I recently had a engine built by a reputable company and noticed no wiring going to the lambda, just the sensor in the headers less the wiring. The car runs a autronic sm4 ecu, I would like to know if the autronic does require the lambda, and if so would running in the motor for the first 200 miles have caused any lasting problems.

I suppose it depends on whether the ecu runs closed loop, if it runs open loop then I'm pretty sure it doesn't need it.
