Default 04' STi (2.0L) Need some help finding a new short/longblock

Hi!

Engine broke down on me last weekend, completely stuck. My local Subaru shop is currently removing the engine to see what's damaged, but we're pretty sure the block is a no-go.

So now I'm looking for either a longblock or shortblock, as long as my current headers are OK. Something like this maybe? http://goo.gl/0UK64

Would love some advice about where to look for used blocks etc.

Help me get my baby running again?

Actual car

Find out what's wrong with your existing block 1st and see what you can salvage. Also consider what your goals are I.e power

If that's your normal driving style I'm not surprised you seized it

Neither am I. It's not like I drive like this all the time, but the car is meant to be driven.

I'm still waiting for the shop to find out whats wrong. It was running 340hp before the break-down, and I'll probably stay there for now. Unless I can get more without paying much more..?

Hi there

Personally I would speak with engine builders here like Neil@Slowboy Racing MartynJ@EngineTuner,Alyn@AS Performance,David@API,WMS(Williams Motorsport),Paul Finch@Finch Motorsport,Paul@Zen Performance and many others

They can supply for you short block without the problem, some too with heads if you will need
