air intake question
Im still having issues with high
idle n i dont know whether this has anything to do with it but.....
When i unplug my iacv my idle goes down but is a bit lumpy n still a little high. When its plugged in i can hear the air filter humming away. Am i meant to hear the air filter sucking away when on idle? I thought it was usually quiet until under acceleration. Its like someone humming while stood right next to me. I know the iacv is fine as it came off a running car.

Anybody know why? My idle is 1500 with the iac valve adjusted so its shut or just about shut. Maybe my car is gettin too much fuel (it is running rich...hc=10% ) so it pulling in air to compensate? If so anyone know what will cause this and how to find out?

If i unplug either tps or iacv or both together the revs go down but idles lumpy. Iacv is off a perfectly working car. Done all the usual idle checks inc. Vac leaks. But now im thinking theres extra fuel going in explaining why my car sucks the air in at idle.

Oh someone else does too. Back to being baffled then.
My ecu has 4 connectors, looking at them from connector side they go...large conector...small....smallest....large. the smallest one has a green wire on top row second from right. The one furthest right is black. Do i have the right wire? Also do i need engine off or on.... or ignition off or on?
