Default Battery light and handbrake light

Hi peps just washed my car started it up after wash and steering was stiff and battery light flashing and handbrake light at same time any suggestions

Did you get water near the engine bay ie have the bonnet up and got water in ?

if you jet wash the front grill, water will get on the fan belt and aux belt. leave it to dry and should be ok then

Water in the alternator?

IRC the handbrake light also doubles as low brake fluid? got water in the terminals on the cap?

That happened to me that's why I asked him if had the bonnet up for any reason during him washing his car.

the other one i did was start it and rev. but on these cars its not worth if. leave it to dry.
