Impreza Wagon rear washer leak above tailgate?
My rear washer is fairly useless so changed the pump only tofind if you squirt the washer for a while the water then started to come throughthe top of the tailgate into the boot on the wagon so how can I get access tothe pipes in the roof of the car to fix the leak?

Very very easy - I've just replaced the hose for the same reason. That said, mine was the version with the pump on the fluid reservoir under the bonnet so yours may be slightly different. But basically there's are two rubber protectors running from the body to the tailgate near the hinges and the hose is inside the RHS once. It's also very easy to remove the tailgate trim panel - it's just held with several fasteners. Inside the boot you have decent access to the hose through the access panels for the tail light and for the jack.
I just replaced the whole hose from the washer jet to the first joint that's near the stowed jack.

You don't - the hose runs from the washer jet up the tailgate, through the rubber protector and then down the RHS D-pillar.
Take a look at this picture for a better idea. You can see the rearmost joiner (6) and it's easiest to replace the hose from that joiner to the washer jet. I believe you'll need a 4mm ID hose.

Thanks for posting this Alessio works like a charm.
One thing I would add is, use short connectors when pulling the new pipe through, long ones won't go round the bends, and lubricate the pipe to help it slide around the bends. ;-)
