Default Coolant leak

Just wondered if anyone had any ideas what is wrong with my car, I have a coolant leak somewhere near the bottom of the radiator or reserve tank, and temperature gauge goes upto nearly maximum any ideas?? Thanks

Change the rad? Cheap off ebay.
Wouldnt keep driving it if getting hot.

I think it might be the thermostat. I'm not driving it now the next time it moves will be to get washed and to the garage.

Thermostat is unlikely, if it goes, the engine is more likely to run cold.

Has the car had a new rad, pipework etc? It does sound like an airlock, which is easy to cure, takes about an hour.

I'd say airlock also, very easy to fix just look on tinternet bud
